As the threat of an American military invasion looms closer, we declare our solidarity with the people of Venezuela and the Bolivarian Revolution!
Venezuela came under the crosshairs of the American Empire when Comandante Hugo Chavez and the Bolivarian Revolution rose up to declare their sovereignty with a new constitution in 1999.
The Chavistas nationalized their country’s energy through taking back control of their oil reserves — something the Dominion government in Canada surrendered decades ago to the American Empire — becoming a competitor on the world stage and, especially, in the American hemisphere.
The powerful revival of Latin American sovereignty that came along with the Bolivarian Revolution inspired countless countries in the region, as well as those of us developing our own movement for popular sovereignty in Canada.
As we continue to consolidate our Republican tendency in the North it is vital for us to build bridges with the people who have made headway in the South. We must raise awareness in our own country how the Chavistas are a force for good and natural allies in our struggle to break from American hegemony.
We must also firmly push back against the slander rife in the legacy media which falsely refers to the Bolivarian Socialist government as a “dictatorship.” It is equally important to identify how the damage inflicted from from American-imposed sanctions on their economy is not from their own “government mismanagement.”
While deranged dogmatists who worship the golden calve of “free market” neo-liberal ideology use economic hardship in Venezuela as proof of the “inevitable failures of socialist state-planning,” if anything, this is the exact opposite of the truth, as the Cabal of Global Finance is so intimidated by any country who breaks from their Satanic system of usury they will wage war on them, either indirectly through sanctions or directly with a military invasion, using the might of the American Empire.
An American-backed coup toppling the Bolivarian Socialist government in Venezuela would be a massive setback for the continental battle of all the peoples of this hemisphere and in the world against American Imperialism and the Cabal of Global Finance.
Long live the Bolivarian Revolution!
